I purchased this vehicle from the sale about a month ago..The car was donated by a gentlemen here in Charleston to a Make a wish foundation charity...Generally I pay ridiculous money for these type of cars and then get them right and sell them pretty much for cost..Its for the kids so I don't mind giving strong money for these cars when they go through... The 280 had been serviced at European road and Racing in Chas here and I was able to get quite a bit of history...The gentlemen has been the second owner and did'nt spare any expense on the vehicle..Just in the last few years he spent $4.000.00 in general maintenence on the car with $1700.00 being on the power windows...All four were refurbished... I had the the plugs and injectors done when I got the car as well as the driveshaft center bearing and the mount for it..The car cranks up as it should with no issues at all not even a puff of smoke..The transmission shifts ok as to be expected for a 40 year old system..it does drive well though,The car has plenty of power to get up and go and is very quiet over bumps and worn out roads ... This car is in great shape and a had a repaint several years back in base/clear and the job is quite nice..The original color was black..This car has zero rust on it and the paint has very few nicks in the paint but nothing that really bothers me and I'm pretty particular about my stuff.. The Chrome is near perfect with very few blemishes, no pitting of anykind.. The undercarriage is in above average shape and does'nt have any excess corrosion under it just your average paint wear on the frame and floor pans.. The original Blaupunkt radio is still there and it works just fine.. The A/C comes on and gets slightly cool but I don't want to have it charged and possibly blow any seals so I chosen to let the new owner handle that..All of the headlights, blinkers and such work as they should as well as the wipers.. The mileage is presumed to be actual 32,000 based on previous owner info and the info in the books in the maint records....It comes with every book that came in it from the factory plus original owner tag plate and all the warranty stickers for the maint book...
