Vehicle Detail

As a one year only model there were 2,215 Speedster 2-door hardtops made as the Studebaker Corporation transitioned it into the memorable Hawk series. This rare survivor has been modified in the pro street style. There is a 454 cubic inch Chevy 4-bolt main (mild cam, pump gas), Edelbrock 4B 800 cfm carb with electric choke, Edelbrock Performer Intake, custom headers with hot coat JET-HOT silver finish, Flowmaster Delta Force 40 Series 2-chamber mufflers with side exit exhaust, custom made 4-core heavy duty radiator, 9 inch Ford rear end with 3.55 Positrack gear, Chevy 350 transmission with B&M shifter, tubbed out, fuel cell and battery (new) in trunk, Strange Engineering axles, 31x16.50 R15 Hoosier rears, 26x6.00 R15 Mickey Thompson fronts, Centerline Pro Street Series wheels. The rust free and freshly painted body is mounted to a complete custom fabricated frame 2x3x1/16 thick steel with diamond plate weld. Has 4 link rear with coil-over adjustable QA shocks. Undercoating with POR 15 black Rust Protectant paint. Weighs 3460 pounds. The front inner fenders, cowl, underside of hood, and engine cage are fabricated to a smooth look of pro street. Has Mustang Cobra II hood scoop for open cowl induction, painted in “Pale Orange” (a sort of salmon maybe) from PPG’s Bright and Bold Series, with white top using Nissan Z gold metal flake paint. Accent trims and interior are in medium grey, continues the quilted-pattern interior in vinyl of original, Corvette C3 front buckets, floor console is Ford Falcon Sprint, ’75 Monte Carlo tilt steering column with Grant wheel, Auto-Meter instrumentation newly installed. Car has air conditioning. Has new glass, windshields, and gaskets. No stereo stuff, so listen instead to big block’s music. Has an original radio delete plate in the dash. Has power brakes, front disc rear drum. No power steering or windows … old school, your power. This has been a 22 year build, with pictures/receipts/documentation included. Operates as you would expect, gets the attention it deserves. Not a show car or trailer queen, but a bold street cruiser in proud condition. E-mail with questions or call Neil @ 559-477-4947. Could open-trailer deliver on West Coast for costs, or otherwise assist with your transporter. $750 immediate PayPal deposit required with the balance due within 10 days. Funds to be cleared prior to vehicle release (bank wire recommended). This is the typical as-is auction. Pictures are current. Thank you for looking.
