Vehicle Detail

No buy it now price because of deadbeats not paying but call info at bottom of page, and we can discuss one if you like, car has a very cheap reserve so BID, I bought this car with some parts I wanted, I do not need the car 1969 amx, 290 4 speed non posi, now with a warmed up rebuilt 343. original color and it came with leather seats when new, car has been in storage since 1986 when the second owner stopped driving it and put it up on blocks in the garage, not to far before that the engine was all rebuilt, hot tanked bored etc and they also put in a clutch, he started car quite a bit over the years and it runs great with no smoke and great oil pressure, has great power on the road. tires were brand new in the eighties and still are almost new with no weather checking or flat spots, they are 245 and 235 60 14, wheels are old school ansens, I bought the car and repainted it, as it was dinged up and faded, it is a solid car but has some filler in the rear quarters done 30 plus years ago, the rest of the outside of the car is very rust free, only rust is some small areas ( one inner rocker on the front and some weakness in the 2 seams under seats) it has a nice straight hood that had a small rust spot in each of the inside corners that was fixed with a welded patch, trunk lid was replaced with a nice used one, the original has jammed up. doors are in real nice shape, fenders are real nice, they do have an area were the lower rear lip was trimmed for bigger tires but not noticeable, fender aprons are all nice, trunk is all good but had one small hole in corner that I repaired with a welded patch before trunk was painted, roof is great with no rust ever.I would say that paint is nice base coat clear that has been color sanded and buffed out, it shines really nice and looks great, the body as far as panel alignment is better then average, body as far as being straight is a 7 to 8 out of a 10, paint is about the same,. The trim on the car is as follows, rear bumper real nice, front bumper fair, grill is in nice shape, headlight trim very nice hood chrome decent, tail lights decent to nice, rear center light nice but has a straight crack in the center, hardly noticeable emblems nice, rocker covers decent Engine runs real good but carb is old so that is a little off, air cleaner is missing, as the pictures show the engine compartment is not original with black paint and the wrong intake carb and coil, clutch is good, transmission shifts good but like most amc t-10 will shift into reverse stiff, this car runs and drives but I do not think I would take it on a long trip before the hoses and belts and things like that are done, The front suspension needs the trunnions rebuilt as they are sagging, drum brakes all around and they work but pull so they should be gone through as well, the exhaust is a set of header that were new 30 years ago and are in good shape, and a pair of turbo mufflers, with NO tailpipes THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES BUT SHOULD HAVE THE BASICS DONE BEFORE TAKING A LONG TRIP THEREFORE IT SHOULD BE HAULED Interior has a NEAR PERFECT DASH WITH NO CRACKS OR DISTORTIONS and a perfect dash pad, a nice center wood-grained cover, the original HURST shifter, a new replacement headliner, all good interior plastic, steering wheel has the normal cracks, decent door sill plates, real good clear glass that are all tight and line up nice, The seats are ROUGH but are the original leather with some old cover on them carpet is GONE, door panels are good, arm rests are good, INTERIOR WILL BE NICE WITH JUST A NEW CARPET AND THE SEATS REDONE only rust that still needs fixing is the drivers inner rocker that is not to bad but a piece need to be replaced before a carpet is put in, outer rockers front floors are good, under the seats the seams are rusty and need small patches, lower radiator support is beat up some, not too bad though, upper radiator support is bent in a little at the top, car was not hit but maybe when they installed engine? under the car everything is solid with some light surface rust, tachometer works but erratic, fuel gauge and temp work, speedometer works heater fan works, all exterior and interior lights work horn works, radio does not work back up lights do not work In summary the car will be a nice driver with some further work but the hard stuff is done like the engine and paint, it will never be a show car but a great starter or entry level car, it has some nice trim parts that are very hard to find and the dash is the BEST I have ever seen in an amx, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL MIKE AT 802 989 3814 ON MY CELL ANYTIME BEFORE 9 EST AND I CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS 250 DOLLARS PAYPAL DEPOSIT REQUIRED BEFORE, YES BEFORE PICKUP, PAYMENT FOR THE REST MUST BE IN PERSON WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS OR YOU MUST MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH ME, I WILL STORE BUT CAR MUST BE PAID FOR On Apr-17-12 at 12:09:06 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE READ PLEASE READ JUST SO IT IS UNDERSTOOD, THERE IS NO NO NO TITLE OR REGISTRATION WITH THIS CAR, VERMONT LIKE MANY STATES DOES NOT HAVE TITLES FOR OLD CARS, IT COMES WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY, IF YOU WANT FOR WHAT IT WILL COST I CAN REGISTER IT HERE , THEN YOU WILL HAVE A PREVIOUS REGISTRATION WHICH IN MANY STATES IS SUFFICIENT On Apr-20-12 at 13:04:04 PDT, seller added the following information: the latest bid of 7100.00 is very close to the reserve!!!
