Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is our 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T We had the car restored approximately 5 years ago, stored in a climate controlled garage since restoration. This car is a constant show winner, either Top Mopar, Best of show or top in its class. It is 100% all Mopar. It was restored using all original or NOS Mopar parts, with some exceptions in and on the engine. It has a 72 440 HP, bored .030, Keith Black pistons, has a polished steel crank, 6-pac rods, Crane 528 Solid lift cam, crane roller rockers, 906 heads that are ported and polished, triple angle valve grind and too much else to list. The engine is super solid and very strong. No expense was spared in the build of this engine, every part was detailed. It has 2 ½ Competition headers, has a complete new flow master exhaust system, original correct Moper extensions and all correct hangers. It has all new brake and fuel lines, new gas tank and straps, re-chromed bumpers with new bolts, all factory tinted glass, complete new legendary interior, all original dash components, original thumb wheel radio (not hooked up), NOS antenna, new alternator with electronic regulator, new Mopar Performance electronic distributor, new Holly 850 dual feed double pumper carburetor, new torquer II intake and Mopar Performance valve covers and air cleaner. It has a new 26 inch Dr Mopar radiator and all other components are new. It has a 3500 RPM Coan Stall convertor, a Mopar 727 automatic transmission that was completely rebuilt using B & M components, has a mild shift kit as well. The brake system is all new, converted to disc brakes on the front. The rear end is a 3:23 Sure grip that was rebuilt, new axle seals and bearings. All gages work, speedo is off due to a change to the rear. It has a base coat/clear coat paint job that is awesome, all stainless trim is original Mopar and has been polished and detailed to show quality. All emblems are NOS Mopar and every part of this car looks better than new. It has 15” Magnum 500 wheels with the 3 bar center caps, 15” redline tires that are new, wheel lip moldings are original Mopar. It has the fender mounted turn signal indicators that work as they should, all signals work, horn works, has the optional wood grain steering wheel that was restored but has since developed a couple of cracks. It has an original center console that is in excellent condition as well as the original floor shifter. The car had very little rust, the lower rear quarters and trunk floor was replaced and floor pans were replaced. The hood and fenders are original and had no rust. The grill is NOS and the headlight bezels are near perfect. Taillights are NOS as are numerous other parts. It has aftermarket under dash gauges and a steering column mounted Tach. All door seals, weather stripping, trunk seal and other seals are new. Door handles, arm rests, cranks and all other items are original Mopar, either NOS or near perfect originals. It has the original redline spare the was in it when it was purchased and well as a restored original jack set. NOS side marker lights were installed and all lights, dinner and items work as they should. Wiper motor is original Mopar and works great. New carpet and door sills were installed. All new window whickers, complete and correct front and rear seat belts. Heater switches not currently working, never needed it. Every part of this car has been restored, nothing was missed. It has the shock plate traction bar set up and all the front end was rebuilt and all bushings through the car are new. There is no way you could build this car for our asking price. We have a lot invested in this car and really hate to sell it but we just have too many cars and need to downsize a bit. I am not a Mopar expert so have had several other folks look at the car me us and grade it based on their experience. The color combination on this car is awesome, the metallic grey, new black vinyl top with the red Bee stripes set this car off like no other combination. The looks and sound of this car make the prefect winning combination!! As-is no warranty: This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed, written or implied.
