Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a very clean 1956 Willys pickup. I bought this truck in New Mexico about 14 years ago. It was an orginal truck with no motor and completly rust free. I have done 100% of the restoration myself, like paint, interior, mechanics, etc... I fully restored it over about a 8 year period from 1998-2006. I began by stripping the truck down to the bare frame rails. The frame, body and all other parts were sandblasted. I rebuilt the complete drivetrain, all axles got new brakes, bearings seals, etc... The axles are stock with 4.88 gears in them. For the engine its a 1977 Ford 302 that I got out of a low mileage wrecked car. I rebuilt it and installed an Edelbrock performer rpm intake, cam shaft and carb. It has dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. Behind that is a Spicer T-18 4 speed manual transmission from an 80's ford pickup, it was rebuilt with a new mainshaft and adapter to fit the stock Spicer 18 transfer case that was rebuilt also. The tires are 35" tall TSL Boggers that are 16" wide on alluminum rims. It has a spring over conversion giving it the lift need to clear the tires. The power steering is full hydruliac. Inside the of the cab is very nice, it has leather seats, custom leather door panels, headliner, carpet, etc.. it also has a large stereo system in it. I also installed new custom steps that slide out when you open the door then they retract back in when you close the door. The paint and body work was all done by me also. Every part was blasted, expoxy primed and painted with PPG basecoat-clearcoat. Like I said this was a 100% rust free truck there was not one hole on the body. It was in its orginal paint when I got it. Everything on this truck is new from bolts, glass, weatherstripping, wiring etc. It has about 750 miles on it since this was all redone. I have hundreds of hours and $$ into this. It may not be a perfect 100 point truck but I can say everything was done by myself and i think it presents itself well. It makes a good weekend cruiser or parade truck. It will turn heads anywhere you go. You just don't see clean Willys trucks running up and down the road everyday. I have rebuilt and drove Williys for years. The only reason for selling this truck is I have a family now and it just sits inside and does not get drove. You should check out some of the other items I have for sale. I speialize in 2.5 and 5 ton military trucks. Check out my other items! Any questions you can call 812-336-2894 or send me an e-mail. I can arrange shipping if you would like at buyers cost or you can deal with it. It can be driven anywhere but its not a Caddy its set up for more of a cruiser. It will run 60+mph without problems. There is allot of things I missed, you are more than welcome to come check the truck out anytime. Clinton I have a clear Indiana state title in hand. This truck is being relisted because the last buyer failed to pay for it, so don't bid on it unless you can pay for it, don't waist my time. I will take no less for it so don't waist my time with offers. I am in no bind to sell it.
