Vehicle Detail

1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk , Original Factory 289, Borg Warner automatic , very original car. Had to re list item Ebay violation by soliciting an offer in the listing, sorry for the problem. The car is a true hardtop, NO POST between windows. The black rubber piece sticking out from hood is the hood rubber seal around the front core support, didn't see it till the pictures were posted. This car is very clean, paint is less than 5 years old and has been inside most of that time. The interior is original in all aspects, back seat has some thread separation, can be repaired or replaced. The car has not one speck of rust or repair, look at the undcarriage, fender wells and door sills. The original crotch coolers located in front fenders are unique to this vehicle, ala 52 VW and Jag and are fully functional.Every piece of Original bright work is near perfect and wax ready. Check the rear trunk grille, spotless! All factory emblems, scripts and badges are in place and look good, even the slide over key cover, #11 in bucket. Correct one year only wheel covers with black trim. Look at the undercarrige shots, close to perfect, power wash it and it would look factory. The big drum brakes make the car stop right now. Driving down the road, no shake or shimmies, rattles or squeaks , smooth ride. Under the hood, the Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk's Thunderbolt engine is a stroked version of Studebaker's old reliable 259.2-cubic-inch V-8. Displacing 289 cid.The motor starts instantly and the automatic choke helps return to a smooth idle, qucikly. Factory HP rating is 210- 225 HP,Borg Warner automatic that shifts crisp and Factory power steering ! Factory dual exhaust, finned-wide drum brakes, variable-rate front coil springs, anti-sway bar, sounds good and runs smooth. Easy driver , future investment , great car. This is one of many cars I am listing from my Dads estate. This car and others have been in a climate controlled warehouse and are not car lot specials, no spray can to hide flaws anywhere. All the photos are from 3.3.2012 , you see the car exactly how it is today! Look at sellers other items to see the other cars we have listed. My brother or I can answer any questions you may have after viewing photo-bucket.
