Selling a 1948 Custom Ford F-1 Pick-up. The truck is a complete rebuild from frame up. It is powered by a 460 Mercury Engine, has a Ford C-6 3 speed automatic transmission. The front end is from a Mustang II with front disc brakes. The rear end is a Chevy 12 bolt 373 gears with drum brakes. The exhaust is true dual with glass packs. The wheels are full Moon and the tires like new. The truck has not been abused at all. The fenders are all fiberglass as the running boards. The box was over $4000 alone and has full oak planks with stainless steel rails. The interior is redone with a soft light tan seat cover (leather), brushed aluminum steering column and custom steering wheel. The pedals are also custom stainless. All the glass is good and windows roll up and down. It has vintage air by way of a pop up vent on the hood cowl with an inside lever that was stock when new. The engine compartment is all surrounded by stainless steel curtain. This truck will move and can turn the tires but I don't rod it as it is made for show. Has chrome bumpers front and back. All body lines are straight and well painted. The radiator is an aluminum over-sized with dual electric fans. I had the transmission out last fall due to a leak. Long's Transmission in Owosso did the work and he said the trans is in great shape with no issues. There is one touch up spot on the box...it is on the left side just behind the rear wheel area and is about an inch long.....just trying to be complete. Also there is a slight crack in the paint on the underside of the hood just right of the nose. There is no power steering but the front axle has a notch for mounting as does the engine for a belt. I have some older parts that are included. I had the truck appraised last year and at that time it was appraised at $21900. I have no doubts that this truck has value and can be a real head turner. I will expect $500 down and if you are not happy upon arrival I will refund $200 and not hold you to the deal. But if you know trucks you will not be disappointed.
