Rare 1970 Mercury Marauder X-100. Factory 429 cubic inch 7.0 Liter Engine. Instead of being a sub-model of other full-size Mercurys, the Marauder was a stand-alone model intended to compete in the personal luxury market. Its front end and interior components were shared with the Marquis, but the back end was unique. The Marauder had its own look with distinctive non-functional louvered side air intakes in the quarter panels complete with rear fender skirts and a tunneled rear window. The market for sporty full-size cars had disappeared, though, and production was limited to about 15,000 cars for 1969 and barely a third of that for 1970. - Original Paint - Orignal Engine, runs great. - Original transmission, shifts smooth. - Original Ford 9" rearend. No noise. - Reupholstered front seats. - Factory Rally Wheels - Front end damage to right front corner (see picture). - Extra parts included to make repair are: Bumper, Header panel, grill, along with two front fenders and various hardware. - No Reserve.
