A beautiful and special example of a 1971 BMW 2800CS automatic coupe that was originally owned by Porsche racing enthusiast, Vasek Polak. In 1960 Vasek Polak was one of the first to open a BMW and Porsche dealership. He was also an avid race car driver, mechanic, collector and race sponsor. Check out VPRacing.com for more information. In 1996 this 2800 was acquired by BMW of San Francisco to be part of their collection until now. This BMW looks, runs and drives excellent. It was just serviced which included front end, electrical and mechanical service. All of the power windows are working. The A/C blows but not cold. All of the gauges are working properly except for the odometer which "still" reads 79,217 miles. The 20+ year old green metallic paint has a deep brilliant shine with very few imperfections to mention. The body is straight and rust free. There are some signs where the possibility of rust was removed during the restoration.All of the brightwork is in magnificent condition and the windows are free of hazing or scratches. The Interior is as beautiful as the exterior. The soft leather seats, carpets, door panels, headliner and dash are all in newly restored or replaced condition. The wood has been refinished to high standards and looks amazing. The passenger side sun visor is broken but included.
