I bought this 2001 Toyota Celica GT earlier this week with the intent to fix it and drive it. It was in an accident, but seemed to be an easy fix with a few suspension parts. Unfortunately, the driver rear frame is slightly damaged at the crumple zone, and the screw holes are about a 1/2 inch from the mounting spots for the rear crossmember. I can't weld it on or fix the frame, so it looks like I'm out of luck! The car has 145k miles on it, and the engine/transmission run just fine. The interior is pretty nice, and the seats are in good condition along with the door panels and such. The car is wired for a sub and amp. The hood, hatch, glass, tail lights, and headlights are all in good condition, too. The doors and quarter panels have dents and scrapes from the accident. The shocks and brakes seem to be in good condition, too. I have the complete replacement suspension for the rear also. If you're looking for a parts car, or just an engine and transmission, then this car is for you! If you can fix a frame easily, then it can be your daily driver for the next ten years. We just can't afford to pay a body shop to fix the frame, so we're taking a hit on what we've put into it so far. The car is also listed locally, so it may be that it sells before the end of the auction. In that event, the auction will be taken down immediately.
