This is a 2 owner 1984 Thunderbird Coupe, 5.0 V8 fuel injected engine, automatic overdrive transmission with 68684 original miles,this was my mom's daily driver from 1985-2001(she did not work far from home),then used as an grocery getter until 2008,it has sat for the last 4 years un driven,we did keep fresh gas in it and start it up weekly to keep it running and fluids circulated, I drove it over 20 miles to my house at highway speed with no problems,the engine runs smooth,the transmission shifts smooth also,the power disk brakes still work great, no fluid drips noted on driveway(engine and transmission have normal build up for a motor that has never been power washed) My dad always kept the oil changed at 3000 miles with Havoline 10W40, some of the recient things replaced before it was set up is: Radiator,Catalatic converters,inner tie rods,timing chain and gears(factory fiber gears deterorated),a/c compressor and dryer(freon has leaked some over the years),distributor and ignition module(relocated off distributor),ignition switch,coil. This car was well maintained through the years and has never been wrecked,but unfortanatly the sun has played its toll on the paint,the body side mouldings ,dash pad,tires,etc this car has always been outside in the elements,but it is a north Texas car so it has not been exposed to road salt, it has a very solid body with no rust . The interior is in need of work as well , the front seats need recovering,dash pad needs replaced,carpet on trim panels needs replaced,headliner needs replaced,sun visors needs replaced. Overall this would be a great car to restore,I almost forgot to mention I put a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe front bumper cover on the car in the early 90's with driving lights and added the gold plated 5.0 badges off of a Mustang GT,this car looked really nice back in the day .This body style brought Ford back into the Nascar winning circle with its aerodynamic body style.
