Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1975 Toyota Celica GT. This vehicle has 60,800 original miles on it. This is the faded but original metallic orange paint job. The car was originally equipped with a white canvas top but it was in poor condition so it was removed. The interior is in outstanding shape for its age. I cleaned the driver side door panel as shown in one of the first pictures of this auction listing and it cleaned up great. There was no front bumper on the car in a few of the pictures, but it is back on the car now. The head liner is in good shape except from the last seam back. It was hanging down so it was removed at the seam. The driver side seat had a rip in it so the piece of vinyl was removed. the windows roll up and down but the rear windows are sloppy. I believe they need some sort of bushing replaced from what I have read. the dash has a few cracks in it as seen in the pictures. All of the gauges except the oil pressure gauge work. The vehicle does have oil pressure though. The air conditioning does not work but I have not looked into why. The windshield wipers worked for about 15 seconds but then blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blew once again when I tried to operate the wipers. All the lights on the front and back of the vehicle work properly. The car smokes a tiny bit on start up if it hasn't been driven for a couple days. It also leaks a tiny bit of oil (did I mention this car is 36 years old)? The engine runs extremely strong and the transmission shifts as if it were new. I am also now missing one chrome wheel trim ring. I have put about 300 miles on this car just to make sure I felt good about selling it and I do. This will make a great resto project for someone or an inexpensive daily driver. I am putting a link to a couple videos I took of the car running (4 hours to upload, will be available 3/15/2012).. The most important thing I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE I live in Georgia and only a bill of sale is required to register a vehicle here. Also, I have no way of getting a title so please don't ask. If you can not register a vehicle in your state, then this is not the Celica for you. Do not bid on it. If you need a title where you live, then feel free to purchase this as a parts car, again, I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE Feel free to call or text me with any questions except to ask ANYTHING about a title. It is 1080p if your connection allows. http://youtu.be/ClaeLVgFkuQ The car shuts off as I am at the back of it and I found after I finished the video that it is almost completely out of gas. The car runs and idles like a champ when there is sufficient fuel. On Mar-15-12 at 18:11:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention, I installed a brand new battery in the car 2 weeks ago. It was $100.00 and I also installed a new Thrush muffler which costed $60.00On Mar-16-12 at 16:20:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Wow, 113 watchers and only 3 days into the auction. Don't miss your chance to own this low miles completely stock Celica. These are becoming harder to find in this shape. Also, I forgot to mention I am including an extra rear roll down window and the rubber bumpers that mount on the front bumper. On Mar-16-12 at 19:21:59 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, So just to keep this fun and interesting I have decided that when the car hits $1600.00 I will do a custom photo of the Celica and include a print with the car to the winner. I will have the car in a nice setting and will retouch the photo so that it will be magazine quality. I am a photographer by trade so I feel that the winner of the vehicle will enjoy this photo. The retail value of the photo is roughly $400.00 but because I love the work I do, I am including it for free. You can check out my work here www.markrodockerphotography.com there are several car shots throughout my portfolio. On Mar-21-12 at 04:21:54 PDT, seller added the following information: VIN# RA22048155On Mar-22-12 at 10:52:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several people ask about the spoiler on the car. I did not add it to the car, it was on the car when I got it. I assume it was put on the car when the car was new or close to new. The paint on the car that is hidden by the edges of the spoiler looks brand new. Also, this car has had over 4100 views and there are 196 people watching this auction. Go ahead and get your auction sniper programs ready or put in a bid if you have not done so yet. This amazing, clean, unmodified car could be yours. Again, this is the original paint, so there is no bad body work being hidden by a paint job. What you see is what you get. Sure, you can buy a shinier celica, but who knows what is lurking under that re-spray.On Mar-22-12 at 11:09:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clarify, the hood was not originally black. I sanded it down and sprayed it with a satin black finish. The factory paint that was on the hood was horribly faded. I also resprayed the rear louvers satin black. I'm sure most folks did not need that information but I didn't want anyone to think I wasn't being honest.
