Finished in Bronzitbeige metallic over tan/brown cloth interior, this super rare E30-chassis Euro-only BMW VIN: WBAAK310608655941 is a great find for the Bimmerphile, classic car collector or for someone who simply wants a cool, fun to drive APPRECIATING classic BMW! I have owned this car for the past six years and have driven it only a few hundred miles. I am offering it for sale along with a few other unique cars in my small personal collection. The working six-digit odometer shows about 211K miles on the entire chassis. The engine was just redone before I acquired it from Gevon at Eurobahn motors. It was his personal. He had the car repainted at the same time as well. This is a very dry RUST-FREE example! It sports the 1.8 liter fuel injected four cylinder engine mated to the factory 5 speed manual transmission. It has the unique "BAUR" folding rear convertible along with the hard removeable "targa" top which stores in the trunk. This unique multiple configuration setup with the center support bar make the car more rigid than a factory soft top. Other notable elements to this car include cool Euro "steelie" wheels, cd stereo, electric windows and small chrome Euro bumpers. ESTERMAN AT 650-307-2251 FOR QUESTIONS THE BODY AND TRIM As I hope is articulated in the photos here, the body and trim of this classic BMW are in very good correct-color rust-free condition overall. There are a few small scrapes and nicks on the car and the rear window is considerably yellowed from sitting outside. The fabric convertible top is in excellent recently-redone condition. The tires could use replacement soon. THE INTERIOR The interior of this 1984 318i Baur TC is in decent but not concourse condition. The vinyl dash shows some heat cracking, all gauges work well, new battery just installed, power windows work fine as do heater, blinkers, lights, gauges and controls. The driver seat shows some wear under the seat cover and the rear seat is tattered at the top. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This classic BMW starts, runs and drives quite well. The engine is very smooth with good power from the high revving 1.8 liter engine. Shifting is smooth, the suspension is quite supple free of any noticeable clunks or rattles. It appears that one rear brake may be hanging up slightly. This car may just need to be driven to clear out the cobwebs. It is a very fun car to motor topless on the open road on a sunny afternoon!
