1961 Ford Thunderbird Convertible,car shows 70323 miles and the condition of the car leads me to believe the mileage is correct,paint code "R" Cambridge Blue Interior code 82,medium blue leather,build date Jan 24 1962 (Original Build Sheet Included) PS PB PW & Power Drivers Seat,Prior to my purchase the car had been in dry storage for the last 20 years,Offering for sale as I have a 59 to finish and a 58 that I need to get started on Body wise just about rock solid,perfect unmolested floors drivers and passenger side,trunk floor is also solid with only some minor surface rust,quarter panels as you can see are just about perfect with only a few tiny bubble spots on the passenger side,inner rear lowers quarters are excellent originals and never tampered with also the front inner fender well bottoms are very nice originals,car has had 1 repaint and appears some body work done passenger side around the rear wheel well,Front bumper has minor ding passenger side I do have another straight solid front bumper which is good candidate for rechrome or may be polished and used as is,rear bumper has some chrome peeling and a couple dings I do have another rear bumper your welcome to which I believe is pretty decent Mechanically the V8 engine is smoothe and quiet,new fuel pump and fresh oil drain,I pulled the valve covers and the valve chambers are clean and sludge free appears the engine may have been rebuilt while in storage,,presently has a 2 barrell carb and C1AE intake probabably was changed out years back,the trans oils is clean with no varnishy smell or appearance,no leaks under the car and still has the factory C1SS radiator,,exhaust is complete and appears to be in good condition. Pulled the front wheels,drums and shoes are excellent will need new brake cylinder all around thus the car is not presently driveable and will need to be trailored Top Mechanism has just recently been gone through all 8 relays were replaced and new top pump installed top functions properly will need new canvas,package tray is just about perfect probably a 9-9.5 on a scale of 10,,all power windows are working along with the power seat and radio,leather seats will need to be redone,door panels are nice,,rugs are good but whoever replaced ordered the wrong color,, all glass original no cracks,,dash has some cracks shows its age but not something that needs immediate attention,I did notice a dash pad in Blue listed on Ebay,if I wasn't selling the car I would probably grab it Car is being sold as is where is no warranties expressed of implied,,$1000 deposit due within 48 hours of sale balance in full due 7 days after sale close,buyer is responsible for shipping and transport,your welcome to inspect the car I'll give you a tarp and light and you can crawl under it and see car is as described,check my 10+ year Feedback record and you can see I do my best to accurately describe all items,,,Bidders with Zero "0" or low Feedback must email me prior to bidding,,Originally a Vermont car they did not have titles sold with a Vermont transferrable registration,,email or call for more details 215 357 6462
