Vehicle Detail

1963 or 64 Jaguar E type 2 + 2, I think, so let me know if I am wrong, easy. This is another car from my Dads estate, don't have much information, but can tell you the following; car runs, we got the engine running off gas can, the tank has a small hole. It does start, stop and shifts and has all 4 factory wire wheels. The engine sounds pretty tight, no strange noises, cleaned out after running a short while. I did not drive it any farther than in and out of the warehouse. The body seams are even at door and rear lid , No sag on doors ,they close solid, the body lines are good . The seal in the rear hatch around glass was dry so we took glass out and put in hatch to avoid breaking. It will need a complete interior and paint, but would clean up enough to drive as is, running drivetrain is worth the buy it now alone. Some lights and trim pieces as seen in the photos are missing, we don't have them , so they will not come with the car. We will furnish a bill of sale , unless we locate the paperwork .This is one of many cars I am listing from my Dads estate. This car and others have been in a climate controlled warehouse , some as long as 40 years ! PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES,WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET ! WE LOOKED, NO OTHER PARTS FOR THIS CAR. My brother or I can answer any questions you may have after viewing photo's, Send email to Sales@kparts.com, we are a family owned business selling replacement car parts for 30 plus years, Dad amassed a 50 plus car collection that is all going up for sale. SEE SELLERS OTHER ITEMS. On Mar-11-12 at 16:55:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I am told by another ebayer, this is a 1968 1.5 2 + 2, not sure if that helps? Looking for some numbers tomorrow. The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupé form (FHC or Fixed Head Coupé) and as convertible (OTS or Open Two Seater). The 2+2 version with a lengthened wheelbase was released several years later. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made". The model was made in three distinct versions which are now generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3". A transitional series between Series 1 and Series 2 is known unofficially as "Series 1½" On Mar-13-12 at 13:06:17 PDT, seller added the following information: The vin number, stamped in the right front frame rail, 1E79089BW Confirms, it is in deed a 1968 2 + 2, one and a half. 1E indicates the model is an E-Type, 4.2 Series 1 or Series 1.5. BW indicates a Borg-Warner automatic transmission was fitted. Hope this helps.
