Below is all I could fine, not sure who or when these were added. These are inspection decals, sort of a check mark after the car went down the assembly line, you see them on higher dollar cars restorations. The F/PTB inspection marks are found in just about every variation, combination, and location. They have been found in strange location (low, high, under components) and even behind the fender on the side of the firewall bulkhead. Colors can be all green or all orange or combinations of the two. Those letters were done by the Shift inspector when the car was done. The different color's were by day shift or night shift. It meant that the supervisor had inspected the car for fit and finish.
