2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab Short Bed 4x4 Lifted Great Looking Truck! Tastefully Lifted, 315 Series Tires Like New! It's a short box extended cab with the 4-doors. The truck has a mild lift with 35" 315 series tires, almost new rubber and rims. The body and paint look original, interior is clean, it runs and drives very well and has the 4.8 motor which should do a little better on fuel than the 5.3. This is a good truck with a long haul yet to go and the price is right! exterior The paint and body on this truck are in nice shape for the age and mileage. It has good gloss, no body rust, no hail, and no obvious dents. The truck has been here in Colorado since day one and we don't salt the roads in winter. The truck has a clean history report, no accidents. The wheels and tires are almost like new, really nice looking and not cheap. They're basically 35"s, lift kit is suspension, roughly 3". The windshield is new. The bumpers are straight and the bed looks good. We removed the chain on the front of the truck. If you absolutely have to have it, we may throw it in the deal, but it's of use to us here. For wear, the left front bed side lower corner and cab corner both had a dent. Our PDR guy popped both of them out, paint is a bit prickly and not perfect though. It's shown in the photos. If you want them refinished/shot, figure $400. The passenger side rear window rain guard is missing. The truck has a few small nicks and marks about the body, road wear on the lower rockers, etc. It's not a new truck or priced as such, but it does look good. Have a peep! interior The interior is clean and pleasant. The drivers seat had a few panels replaced with vinyl that were worn, looks nice now. The dash, doors, headliner, all pretty good. The carpet has a little discolored area on the passenger compartment. Everything works inside except the CD player, we did not receive a face plate for it. If you want a new CD player w/ ipod hookup/usb, figure $100 installed. mechanical This pickup really runs and drives well for having some mileage. A lot of lifted trucks are kind of all over the road, but this one is really well mannered. It has good power, sounds mean but not obnoxious. It drives and shifts easy, 4x4 works great, and it's rated to get decent fuel economy for a big truck, about 18mpg with normal wheels/tires, city highway should be a little less with the big wheels, but highway may improve. We changed the oil and filter on this truck. It had a check engine light on for an 02 sensor, but we've driven it a ways and it didn't come back, may have been an old code. The only thing I noticed was a tiny bit of play in the intermediate steering shaft which shows as a faint occasional rattle in the steering wheel. It's a very common GM thing. We can replace for $100 parts/labor. It's a very solid and easy to drive truck. Should be great for a long while to come, fly in and drive home anywhere! comments This is a neat truck and a good buy.
