Up for Auction: A Very Rare Cummins Diesel powered Platinum Edition 4 wheel drive Dodge Ram 2500 Club cab truck with 8ft bed. This Great Looking Powerful Truck features the Best of everything! This Platinum Edition Truck has had a professional Lift job and sports BF Goodrich All terrain tires Size 35 X 12.5 X 16.5 Mounted on Very nice Custom Mags. The Conversion includes the sporty looking induction scoops on the hood, nice running boards and color keyed fender flares. The Color is Chestnut Pearl metallic with a platinum two tone and barbed wire pin stripe! Just about every feature available in 1997 is on this truck including a sliding rear window, tilt steering wheel, electric windows, power mirrors, compass, automatic transmission with overdrive, a nice aftermarket radio by Sony with cd player with aux. input capable for mp3. This Truck is equipped and ready to tow! it has a 2" reese receiver in the front and in the back and the Reese under bed foldaway Gooseneck ball attached to the frame under the bed. It is equipped with an electric trailer brake controller made by Drawtite model Activator II, it works fine. There are two different places to plug in a 7 way trailer light plug, one inside the bed for use with the gooseneck ball, and one in the back for regular bumper pull trailers. The truck has a nice ABS Bedliner and a bumper guard in the front. The full size spare tire is mounted up under the back and the jack and lug wrench kit are mounted in the cab under the back seat. This truck has been my daily driver for over 5 years and everything works with just a few of minor exceptions: the overhead display showing the outside temperature reads incorrectly, and the passenger side electric window switch does not work, the window can be controlled from the drivers side just fine.The cruise control does not seem to work, & there is a small separation at the outside seam in the driver seat about an inch long that could be resown, I have always kept a seat cover over the drivers side in order to keep from wearing it out. I bought a pair of them and have one still brand new to go with the truck.(I recommend using it to save the seats).The dash pad has cracked.(Aftermaket covers are available on e-bay starting from $45) The truck runs and drives strong and always has.( I use Shell Rotella T 15W40 Oil in all my diesels and have never been let down.) The four wheel drive works as it should. I have only put it into four wheel drive a few times as a precaution on a boat ramp at the lake. I have never used this truck off road and the previous owners used it to pull their horse trailer to shows. It has just under 211,000 pampered miles on it but looks like it has about a fifth of that. The A/C Blows Cold and the heater and defroster both work as well. All the gauges work and all the lights in the dash work as they should. The truck is a real head turner! It sounds great with that signature resonance that only the Cummins makes and the platinum conversion makes this a most desirable machine. The truck looks very good, but it is 15 years old and has tiny marks and scratches and chips as one would expect. the only noticeable rust is one spot on the back bumper and on the hub caps, I have ordered a new set of hub caps and they will go with the truck.
