1949 Chevrolet Shortbed. Traditional 50s style build. Cool swapmeet cruiser. It is built the way it would be in the 50s with era parts. Virtually rust free besides small spot on the corner of the floor from what I can tell. Nothing serious. Patina paint. The body is in very good shape and was off the chassis and the chassis was redone before i got it.The motor is from a 54 Chevy truck 235/ 6 cylinder rebuilt with a manual 4 spd on the floor. Clutch is excellent. Manual choke. Stops like it should. New wiring. 12 volt alternator. New battery. It has a open rear end and driveline from the same 54 chevy donor conversion. Straight front axle. Fulton visor. Truck was lowered using Speedway drop springs. The bed floor was redone with new wood kit and og strips as well as new floor cross braces. Brand new Goodyear tires. The truck runs like a Swiss watch! Runs excellent! This is no trailer queen and was built to be driven. Truck is not perfect and does need some interior work and gauges need some attention but that’s easy and cheap. Crack in passenger side front windshield. Or leave it like it is and roll it like i do. Does have a new seat in it though. Truck draws attention wherever it goes..Please if you have to ask your wife, girlfriend, mom, dad its probably not the truck for you.
