Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my turbo charged 2004 Dodge Neon SRT4 / SRT-4 currently at 59,744* miles. Adult owned. CLEAR / CLEAN TITLE. I feel that needs to be in caps because there are a TON of salvage titled vehicles out there making clean titled SRT-4 more and more unavailable. This has been my daily driver for the last 3 years or so. All oil and trans fluid changes have been done on time and with only synthetic oils. I’m selling her because I needed a larger vehicle and the timing was right to move on a turbo diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee. Everything works and drives as it should. Very mechanically sound. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive cross country if needed, although these cars don’t have cruise control so I already feel sorry for your right foot! The paint is original and shines up very nicely as seen in the photos. It is not perfect, but looks good for its age and doesn’t have anything glaring sticking out. The sheet metal is also good. There is a small dent above the rear passenger tire that you can see if you look closely in the pictures. I couldn’t find any others. I made a quick walk around video which can be seen at the link below. It is not listed in the YouTube search so this link must be used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyPhgrMid9E The mod list is light which is a great place to start with or keep as is. When I purchased this vehicle I specifically bought it because it had not been molested under the hood like 90% of them out there. Engine was bone stock, minus a blow off plate. The mods I installed are a Mopar Stage 1 PCM (stock included too), upper strut bars, chrome exhaust tips, and I installed fatmat (like dynamat) under all the carpet, in the trunk, and front doors. The previous owner installed a Mopar blow off plate, height adjustable coil-overs (unsure of the brand) , Hotchkis front and rear sway bars (http://www.hotchkis.net/neon_srt4_sport_sway_bars.html ), 18” wheels (I painted matte black), and removed the stock resonators to install a Magnaflow muffler. This exhaust setup gives the car a lot of pops and gurgles especially on deceleration, but has very minimal drone on the highway. The suspension upgrades give a nice stiff ride and cornering that can leave passengers faces pressed against the windows, if desired ;-). The 18” BFgoodrich KDW 2 tires have two summers on them and have approx 8/32 left. So maybe another two summers? Totally depends on your right foot. I have a set of 4-winter tires too on black steel rims. If local or your car shipper will allow I’ll wrap them up and throw them in for free to upon request. They have two winters on them and lots of meat left. I just redid the brakes before this past winter season. All new higher end metal OEM+ rotors and ceramic brake pads. They are barely broken in. Just so you are not caught off guard the first time you drive the vehicle ceramic pads tend to squeak the first two or three times brakes are applied until they warm up a bit. Once they are warm they are quiet and have unforgiving grip, especially when paired with KDW 2 tires. It also has the kicker living loud audio package which includes upgraded speakers and a 10” rear subwoofer. I do not have any key fobs for this car. Two keys will be included in the sale. If you have any questions please let me know. It is a great car and I have maintained it well as I do with all my cars. It would make a great addition to anyone’s garage. I was planning on changing the oil at 60K miles and have the materials (Mobil 1 and K&N filer). I held off giving the next owner the option. I will change the oil for you or include the case of oil and filter with the sale. The first thing I always do when buying a car is change the oil so I have a starting point. This way if you are like me you can do it, or if not I will happily change it for you before pickup or shipping. Thanks for looking. *Mileage may go up a couple of miles do to local interest / test drives / etc. For more history on the SRT4 please check out the Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_SRT-4 Stock specs taken from the above link: Power: SAE 215 hp (160 kW) (2003 model) SAE 230 hp (170 kW) (2004–2005 models) Manufacturer's specification when the SRT-4 was released was 230 hp (170 kW).
