1948 willys jeep cj2a starting is a NO rust 1948 from central oregon. every thing is original or new. the body,grill, fenders, hood, tailgate,are all original there is new glass in windsheild frame .seals are new. the tailgate still has the factory stamping #.it has a magnetic right side reflector,for safety. the windsheild frame is the original cj2a type which are hard to find. most r replaced with a newer single glass windsheild. it has not been put through a drill episode were they installed a roll bar. now its in a storage facility now to keep out of elements.. had original paint when i got it.i was gonna put a v8 in it hd axles rollcage etc. but i did not want to destroy an original. lots of new stuff gas tank and sender and felts that hold the tank in. paint undercoated everything. rebuilt engine, 55 psi on oil pressure at hot idle. never gets hot. trans transfercase re sealed the front and rear end . everything works from the period correct heater with original lighted switch, high beam indicator, heater,dash light, all gauges work. has tow bar. has 700 miles on it after restoration no turn signals as the original had.although i have aftermarket period correct turn signal with wiring i will throw in.. comes w 5 original good condition tires and rims i found a new spare tire carrier iill throw in. oh yeah its 6 volt generator starter work good. has original seat frames and brand new best top.has won first place at a local car show. email me for any questions.or more pics the pics were taken b4 went into storage new brakes shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder. email me only. rebuilt carb. new air cleaner assembly has vaccuum drivers side windshield wiper passenger has manual wiper .has original cloth wrapped wiring in good condition. battery is gonna be dead.i have a ton more pics showing the frame off restoration.brand new rims and 32" m/t tires can be negotiated in for an aditional 1000 if you want them. and yes still has reverse threads on i think left side lug nuts.there is a crack in the window frame about a inch its so superfishal does not affect strength..im not sure how many miles it has. if you have any doubts on its condition get a vehicle inspection ill be moore than happy to help with this. it leaks about a couple drops from felt crankshaft seal. tow bar is removable. because it has a pintle hitch the tail gate will not open fully. but you can still remove it. all the body work and paint was done by Dave Stone at arcata body. the floors are extremly straight and rust free.the tags that are stamped on the starter. generator. distributor. and Voltage Regulator are all the same .the original horn is LOUD .if you look at some that are on ebay the body lines dont line up right lilke were the hood covers the cowl, they are what we call 20 footers (look good from 20' away) mine is a 1 footer.......it has a new clutch replaced by previous owner after assembly it sounds like throw out bearing is making noise????? but i put 700 miles on it no problems at all. brand new best top. willys mbt trailer not included .the dated pics r taken right b4 taken to storage new owner responsible 4 vehicle p\u On Mar-08-12 at 14:02:28 PST, seller added the following information: lowered the reserve alotOn Mar-10-12 at 07:36:10 PST, seller added the following information: yall are extremely close to my reserveOn Mar-10-12 at 18:36:05 PST, seller added the following information: MY RESERVE WAS SET AT 6K EBAY WONT ALLOW ME TO LOWER IT TO $5,500 ANY HOW THE RESERVE IS SETAT 5,500
