Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1956 Ford F-100 Pick-up that I have been restoring since 2007. I was recently relocated by my company and don't have the time or space to finish it. It was completely stripped down to the bare frame and I began rebuilding it using all new parts. I have over $30k in receipts for the new parts and powder-coating. The frame is the original 1956 that has been boxed front and rear with some reinforcement in the center. The front end is a "Volare" that has been completely rebuilt with Moog, Energy Suspension and FFI parts, it also has Fatman Fab 2" dropped spindles. The rear suspension is a No Limits Eng. Fatbar with billet coil-over shocks. It also has 4-wheel drilled and slotted disc brakes. The wheels are Billet Specialties Vintec 17x8 front and 17x11 rear. The motor is a Chevy 350 4-bolt main, 20% nickel block. It was built originally by a performance shop before I purchased the truck so I don't know much about that end of it other than it ran great. I have added Edelbrock RPM polished aluminum heads, RPM cam, RPM dual-quad intake, roller rockers, Pete Jackson gear-drive, ARP fasteners, MSD ignition, Billet Specialties polished front drive system and much more!! The radiator is Afco polished aluminum with a PRC polished AC condenser and Cool-Craft polished shroud with 16" Spal fan. The transmission is a GM 700R4 with Bowler "Tru-Shift" and electronic lock-up added. Lokar shifter and E-brake with digital shift indicator. The rear axle is a Chevy 10-bolt and was rebuilt with a Eaton Posi and 3:42 gears, axle tubes were welded, solid pinion spacer and Trick Flow girder style cover. 21 gallon aluminum rear-mount fuel tank. Brake and fuel lines have been installed. The truck came with a 1 piece fiberglass tilt front-end when I bought it which is included but I decided to put a steel front-end back on it so it has all new reproduction steel front-end except for the inner fenders. I also found an original steel 1956 hood that is in very good shape with only some surface rust. The bed was purchased new by the prior owner and is in excellent condition, I bought a smooth tailgate cover and rear roll-pan to add to it. The cab will need new side cowls, front runners and drivers side rear corner to fill hole for gas filler neck. The floor is solid, it has a couple patches already repaired. The firewall will need to have the stock holes filled also. The steering column is from Idiit with SS Borgenson u-joints. The seats are out of a Tahoe and are both 6-way power with built in seat-belts. I have boxes of new parts including all new glass, power-windows, alarm with power door-locks, steel running boards, 3" wider fiberglass rear fenders, flowmaster mufflers, Painless Performance 18 circuit wiring harness, Ford Motorsport Gauges, Vintage Air oval pro-line ac/heat controller, tail-lights, headlights, rubber seals, polished fasteners and much more. There are also many of the old and spare parts included. Truck has a clear title and is currently registered as an Antique vehicle. Truck is not running and will need to be trailered, I strongly recommend using a private enclosed car hauler to transport due to the truck body is not completely bolted together and the amount of additional boxes and parts included. Please ask any questions before bidding and I will try to answer them as soon as possible. I am selling this truck with no reserve so high bidder will take it home! Winning bidder will need to make a $500 deposit through PayPal within 72 hours of auction end with the remaining balance due by Cashiers check or cash only. Winning bidder will need to contact me to arrange a time to pick up. Truck is located in Arlington, TX 76017 On Mar-04-12 at 11:24:34 PST, seller added the following information: I'm adding this to the description because I have had many questions on how complete this truck is and what is needed to finish it. The truck still needs to have bodywork and paint done and then final assembly including new upholstery . Where I have purchased many new parts there are still some parts that will be needed to complete, the largest of these would be inner fenders, tilt-hood kit, wiper kit and ac/ heat evaporator . The cost to complete really depends on the persons taste and skills to do the work needed. Please remember that this is a project truck/ work-in-progress and will require additional work before it is completed. Please ask any questions before bidding!
