Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for bid is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ. It is equipped with the 4.0L inline six cylinder engine with an automatic AW4 transmission. The truck currently has 99,346 miles and is originally from Virginia, so it is extremely clean and solid. This truck has been freshly built, and is one of the most capable Cherokees you will ever find out on the trail…that also gets 18 MPG on the highway. I purchased the truck about a year ago, at which point it was completely stock. My intentions were to build an extremely capable off road truck that can just as easily go down the highway at 75 mph. After purchasing the truck, I immediately started my build. EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE PARTS LISTED BELOW ARE LESS THAN 1 YR OLD AND HAVE LESS THAN 5,000 MILES ON THEM! All the modifications and fabrications have been professionally installed. Every route taken to modify the truck has been done meticulously; no corners have been cut in the process of building this truck. I even went as far as replacing the infamous “0331” cylinder head (known to be problematic with year model 2000 Cherokees) with a reinforced new cylinder head. During the one season of trail riding, I was religious about washing both the inside and outside of the truck until it was spotless! This includes pressure washing inside the subframe and all suspension components. All of the gauges work, as well as all the heater controls and turn signals/windshield controls. The dash and seats are in excellent condition, with no cracks in the plastic or rips on the seats. (There is one small crack in the vinyl on the driver’s seat next to the reclining lever). As for the exterior, the paint is in great shape, with no fading or missing clear coat anywhere! With that being said, the only visible rust on the entire truck is a small bubble about the diameter of a silver dollar on the bottom of the passenger rear door. There are no major scratches or dents on the exterior. The wheels have been exposed to rock scratches and gouges from normal “trail use.” The tires are in great shape, and haven’t been damaged by rocks or off road use. I cannot stress enough how professionally built each aspect of this truck is. In addition to the off road modifications, this Cherokee is hands down the best riding XJ on the street, no “death wobble” or choppy ride. I have personally recorded up to 18 MPG on the highway at roughly 70 mph, and recorded around 15 MPG in town. At 99,000 miles on the engine & transmission and <5,000 miles on the remaining drivetrain, this truck is primed for years of trail riding & daily driving ahead. I also have all the manufacturer literature on the E-Locker and Warn Winch. Anyone planning to purchase an unmolested, stock rust-free Cherokee for around 4,000-6,000 would easily end up putting another 10-12K just in parts to duplicate this Cherokee. And that’s not including labor rates an average shop would charge. To state simply, MY RESERVE PRICE IS WELL UNDER THE COST IT WOULD TAKE TO DUPLICATE THIS TRUCK!!!!
