Up for auction is my 1978 Cadillac Eldorado. EXTERIOR This Cadillac is Copper Canyon Firemist with a Mulberry top. It has a brand new set of filler panels on it all the way around. These are not cheap!!!! The chrome on the car is really nice. Hardly any pitting. The vinyl top is in nice shape, no cracking or tears. Underneath the car is nice, the frame is good no holes in the floor or anything like that. All of the glass is in good shape. No cracks or chips in the windshield. The car is starting to show it's age paint wise. It is still presentable but has it's flaws, there are some small rust spots around the top, and a hole on the drivers side fender. I've owned and looked at a lot of these cars and this one is not like the other junks for sale. INTERIOR The interior in this car is mint! Seats are nice beautiful burgundy, one little bitty seam starting to split (pictured). The carpet is good, the dash is good no cracks. The door panels are in really nice shape (that is usually the first place to show wear). The headliner in the car is nice. The car has it's original floor mats and trunk mat and space saver spare. This Caddy has it's original 8 track radio, heat works well, headlights work well (has auto dimming feature). Has a 78 owners manual. The power seat works as it should and the passenger seat also has the reclining feature for those long trips. The steering wheel is in nice shape but does have some cracking around the middle wood grain part like most do. ENGINE This Caddy has the 425 cubic inch V8. LOW MILES 55,000. Starts easy, good battery, no knocking, no smoking, runs cool. Choke and fast idle work properly. Completely original, correct carburetor, air cleaner, level ride works. Transmission shifts nice and smooth and the car runs down the road straight, stops straight, and rides like your on a cloud. PAINT This is a rare color combo. Code 99 copper canyon firemist with code 74 vinyl top. The sides of the car have been painted and I believe the hood, roof, and trunk have the original paint showing some age and dullness. The paint may be able to be buffed out to make it shine a little more I have not tried. TIRES Tires are good, wide white walls (hard to find) has the right hubcaps with the matching paint. The have a couple dents in the front ones from curbs but most eldorado's do. The car is also for sale locally. This auction may be ended at anytime if the car sells. I have driven the car to Cleveland and back several times but remember the car is 35 years old so if your really far away I would have it shipped or bring a trailer.
