It can be daily driven during the week and off to the toughest trails on the weekend. It drives smooth and straight. Only 30,000 miles!!! The Jeep is all original sheet metal. While it has been through several of the most challenging trails in the western Untied States it has not been beat! All body panels are original, no dents and all the paint is original (no touch ups). It has a few MINOR bumps and scuffs, but nothing that can be seen from a few feet away. The body armor and fender flare’s have normal rock rash for the type of trails it has seen, again nothing major but it is not a show queen. Everything is in working order on the Jeep. I am the original owner, I purchased it brand new in June of 2001 and it has been garage kept since. I have nearly $50,000 invested into this Jeep, meaning No short cuts ($$$) were taken when building this Jeep... It even has heated seats for the late nights with the top off! I hate to sell it but I just don’t use it anymore. (I used it once last year!) Life goes on, it’s time for someone else to enjoy this Jeep and get it out of my warehouse. Contact me with any questions; I love to talk about Jeeps. This Jeep will NOT disappoint!! I won’t assume that simply because a buyer is looking at such a modified Jeep that they truly understand what they are looking at… I know when I first bought the Jeep I did not know and wasted some time and money taking half-steps only to have to go back and spend more money to do it correctly. Lift kits: Many lifted Jeeps simply replace the springs and factory styled control arms. While this dose lift the Jeep the ride quality usually goes out the window. “Long Arm” lift kits complete reshaped the geometry of the suspension, improving ride quality while improving articulation. This allows the suspension to flex much more keeping the tires on the ground where the traction is. Bead-Locks: Deflating your tires to low air pressure allows the tire to flex and form around the obstacles it’s trying to conquer (The lower the air pressure the better). The problem with this is tires are held to the rim with air pressure, so at low air pressure there is a good chance the tire can pull away from the rim and cause a flat. Bead-Locks mechanically lock the tire and rim together so you can run super low air pressure for maximum traction without the fear of separating the tire from the rim. Lockers: Selectable lockers allow you as the driver to decide when to lock the axle. The advantage to this is say you are on an obstacle where one tire is in the air and the other is on a granite rock... With the push of a button the differential will mechanically lock, thus causing both tires to rotate at the same speed regardless of resistance on the tire. The result will be rather than the tire in the air freely spinning doing nothing to move the Jeep, the tire on the ground will pull you forward. ARB air lockers are the most recognized and widely uses lockers in the industry. Transfer Case: Besides engaging the front axle making the Jeep four wheel drive, the low range feature is what gives it the ability to crawl over objects. Factory units use a chain to connect front and rear, over time and mileage these chains stretch, wear and even break. Atlas is 100% gear drive, no chain. Factory Jeep units have a 2.73:1 Low Ratio (4:1 on a Rubicon). The Altlas is a 5:1, giving you “Billy Goat” like crawl ratio. The twin sick feature of the Atlas allow you to have complete control, rear wheel drive, four wheel drive or front wheel drive in both high and low ranges. Why is this important? If you find yourself in a position where you can not drive forward or backwards you can disengage the rear power, hold your emergency brake, turn your front wheels the direction you want to go and then drag the front of the Jeep sideways under its own power. (Know as an Atlas turn, it has gotten me out of a bind a few times!) Thanks for looking, again please send me any questions you may have. Please note I have 100% feed back and I pride myself on keeping it that way. Please do not bid if you cannot back up your bid. It's really a waste of both of our time!
