What Im offering is an Honest to goodness "BARN FIND" Yes I pulled this old soldier out of the chicken house myself! Complete and un-molested examples of these trucks are getting harder and harder to find. This truck under went a novice restoration in the early 90's it got rust repairs, new glass, and mechanicals freshened up while it was still owned by the original owner! It got passed down thru the rural family and gently used as a light farm truck. then retired and stored away around 2002... BODY/CHASSIS- The body is the straightest I've seen. Nice even patina overall, the older rust repairs are showing back up in the usual places. theres virtually no rust holes in the bed inside or out! old wood is still there but its ruff. all bed strips are there and good. In spite of the rust its still one of the most solid examples I've ever found. The frame is all OEM very solid and very straight. The suspension is tight and it drives really good. DRIVETRAIN/ELECTRICAL/INTERIOR- The old 235 runs strong, clutch is good and firm. I've had the head reworked due to a burnt valve and added an alternator. the 3spd tranny works fine. The column shift is sweet to shift. All electrical is original and un-cut. The original upholstery was intact when i brought it in, but I replaced the seat cover for day to day service, and put down a new floor mat. The old carb is still a bit testy and cold natured but we drive it daily as a shop truck. This old truck is fun to drive and is ready to be brought back to its former glory.
