Listed is a 2000 Volvo V70XC Wagon. It has 127,500 miles. I purchased the wagon privately for my sister in law who only drove it very briefly before the water pump seized resulting in the break of the timing belt and trashing several of the valves. The good news is that the car did not overheat and a boroscope assessment conducted by a Volvo shop (Dougherty Automotive in West Chester) determined that the pistons/bottom end is undamaged. I have the diagnostic work invoice verifying the scope of the needed repair. As opposed to paying for the shop to do this labor intensive/costly repair, my sister in law has decided to buy a new car. It would be ashame to see the wagon be used as a parts car as it is in excellent overall condition. The paint, trim, wheels, glass and overall exterior finish is near perfect with only one small door ding on driver's door. The interior is equally nice with the leather, carpets, door panels, headliner, etc in extremely nice shape. This wagon was obviously well cared for and had a good life. Also, all systems, electronics, switches work as they should, A/C blows cold, window, sunroof, heated seats, stereo, etc all functioning. There are no code lights, no oil leaks, no rattles, squeaks, etc. Toyo tires have plenty of life. Had a recent starter installed. Has PA inspection through July, 2012. Clean PA title in hand. This is an ideal mechanic's project to get this pristine wagon back on the road where it belongs. Obviously the wagon will need to be towed which is at the buyer's expense.
