Up for auction is a 1965 Mustang convertible. It has an original numbers matching 289 2V and automatic transmission. The engine turns over by hand but I have not tried to start it. I believe the original color to be blue and the interior white. I will post a picture of the door tag later for you to decode. The body is as it looks....rusty. It will need complete floors, torque boxes, etc. The front and rear frame rails are salvagable, but they will need extensions put on them. I will attempt to start the car this week while it is up for sale. I will post additional info if I get it done. As far as options it has a power top and the V8 engine and that is about the extent of it. Manual steering and manual brakes. Original steel wheels that has some 68 mustang hubcaps on them. Could be any number of things. Also while I had the battery in it I ran the power top up and down. Although the top framing was stiff the pump worked well both up and down with the original switch.On Feb-24-12 at 14:29:34 PST, seller added the following information: There was a bid placed today on my car in error.
