Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a near complete restored 1973 Porsche 914. I've worked on this car for 4+ years. Most of the engine work was done by RS Motorsports here in the Denver area. I have the receipts for the work and Joel/RS Motorsports is familiar with the car as well. I have listed this car once before the holidays and once after. I have since found two bad rust spots in the trunk and a bracket. I took the car off of ebay and had the trunk bay replaced and repaired as well as the bracket. I then had the paint and body shop remove all rust from the bottom of the car and install undercoating on all of the bottom [except the transmission and engine, of course] and all four fender wells. I don’t have pics of the bottom because I can’t get under it and I don’t have a lift but I have my receipt for 1800.00 J Before you buy, make sure you have the funds and can coordinate a time/day for delivery. We'll need to work together. The car is very good shape and I've listed the characteristics below with pics. New paint and rust restoration. The original color was ravenna green though through the process I found it was painted several times. All paint was removed and I had it painted Porsche Speedway Green a GT3 OEM color with flat black hood and trunk lids. Rust behind rocker panels and on the firewall has been removed and repaired along with the battery tray being replaced. The vehicle in this aspect is very clean. The transmission has been rebuilt and was done in ~2008. I don't drive the car everyday. It's mostly a weekend fun driver. The originally engine was removed and I bought a newly rebuilt unit that was bored from a 1.7 to a 2.1 with 40mm Weber carbs. The installation etc was done by RS Motorsports along with the transmission work. The seats are originally though custom covered with a material that emulates carbon fiber with the Porsche logo stitching and badge on the headrest.Custom carpet kit and floor mats along with the firewall cover are all new and were done in the summer of 2011.The front-end and rear rotors are from a 97 Porsche Carrera S. Attached are 4 Fuch 16 x 6 originals [not replicas] with new tires and brakesTarga top fits fine with no leaks, lights work, though I just put new turn signal assemblies on the front and I have not connected them up yet. Too cold to get in the garage. I have parts for the rear bumper, front bumper grills and speaker covers. I removed the old radio and have not put a new one. I assume if you buy the car you can choose your own system setup. There are no hidden gotchas here that I know of. It's a cool little car and definitely a head turner. I have pics of the restoration as well and can scan the title etc if you need to see it. The car is garaged all year round and well serviced. It is not a garage sitter though I can't drive it everyday especially during the winter. The auction winner will need to schedule pickup and delivery of the car. Please coordinate with me before scheduling because I do travel for work. A 500.00USD deposit will be required within 24hours of the auction via paypal or wire transfer. Full payment will be required for car to ship. We can work out whatever is needed for a comfort level of payment and shipping.
