Up for "NO RESERVE" auction: 1972 Mercedes 280SE 4.5 V8 with 63k documented miles (have service records). This 280 is a very good "driver" quality car. This car is mostly original with the exception of the exterior being professionally refinished in its original color at one point. The paint job is above average in quality. The body is straight and the rockers are solid as well as the trunk wells. The chrome is also in above average condition. The interior is very well preserved, however does show some minor wear. Mechanically, the engine runs great(recent tune-up) and the transmission shifts smoothly. The brakes and tires are in great shape as well as the front end parts. There are no major oil leaks, maybe a seep here and there but does not leave a spot on the ground. This car drives great and has plenty of power. Most of the power equipment works, however it will need a drivers front window regulator. The window still functions but does not go all the way up, you have to pull it up manually about an inch. The aftermarket radio is not working. We do have the original radio and it goes with the car. The A/C is in good working condition. Other than some minor TLC, this would make a great weekend cruiser/daily driver. We have original books and owners manual.
