Vehicle Detail
up for auction is a 1962 impala 2 door hardtop coupe this is a project that already has a real good start a lot of the hard work is done. I tore the car all the way down to the frame, stainless brake lines, all new bushings in trailing arms and in a arms 2 inch drop spindles disc brakes up front all new ball joints, rod ends, new panhard bar, posi rear end out of a camaro completely gone through moser axles, 373 gears all new brake components, all new heavy duty sway bars also. The frame was completely sand blasted and coated with epoxy primer and then sprayed with a satin black coat of paint. for suspension it has airbags from air ride technology and when dropped is low low low.every thing is done on the frame, and new, nothin to have too go through its all good. on to the body all the trim was shaved off and also the door handles and locks. My buddy who is opening a resto shop helped me with all the body work, drilling out spot welds it quit the daunting task. we replaced the whole floor pan and rear seat pan, both rockers, a whole new trunk pan, and both quarters too, then all the new panels were all seam sealed, when the quarters were off we sprayed rust guard on all the interior parts. body mounts are all good only had to repair one of the rear ones. the hood was no good so i have a 4 inch cowl fiberglass hood for it.lots of new stuff for it and a lot of the original stuff too, all the stuff that is not on the car is all in storage at my friends place.i have the motor that came in the car and it still ran good when i tore the car down, i believe it is a 327. the car is not too far from being ready for paint. im sure there is a bunch of things i am forgetting about so if you have any questions feel free to give me a call, my # is 319-269-1334. pick up only you arrange it, a deposit of $2000.00 must be received within 48 hours after the auction has ended.and the rest of the money is due within 7 days after the auction has ended.sold as is, all sales final
