This item is being relisted due to an email malfunction. Up for auction is a 1970 Triumph Spitfire Roadster 1500. It is a 4 speed manual transmission with a 4 cylinder motor. The odometer shows 37145 miles. The stamp pad on the motors reads FM17855UE. When I decode this, FM = a 1492cc Spitfire 1500. I am certainly not an expert. Although, I was happy to see it had the bigger motor. The data plate reads; Date of Manufacture = Jan 1970, Comm No = FDU81838, Paint = 56, Trim = 11. It is currently a non-running vehicle. Due to the age of the vehicle, the miles are exempt. This project is near completion. A few thousand has already been spent. Included, is more than 1000.00 in parts needed to complete the project. The car has a very clean and dry body. It comes with a wiring diagram, service manual, and parts catalog. Parts are very easy to find. This car is very close to going down the road and would be a very easy to complete. What a fun and inexpensive car when completed. I wished my new job gave me the time to do this project.
