One helluva Fierce Flamed Out VW Bug! I purchased this at auction on a whim for my daughter - Not the car she was looking for! It's a solid bug that has been sitting for a while. The car starts and drives. It does not go into first gear. When the car was delivered I drove it down the street and all shifted well. It has been sitting for a month and when I went to move it this morning I could not find first gear. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, R all fine but no first. Good motor, doesn't smoke,It does need a tune up and some brake work. The brakes have a weep someplace so you can pump them up but they are leaking. The pans are solid, no rust issues. The engine(B6027853) is a Dual Port 1600cc. I'm not sure but the motor number may make the engine a 1969??? The sliding top is working and the tires match with very good rubber. The tires have a bit of cracking so may have been on for some time. The paint is way cool. The primary coat has a little some overspray but the flames are done pretty well. On the inside the seats are good as well as the floors and carpet. The dash needs some attention and some of the knobs may be missing. All in all the bug needs some TLC. I'd call it a 6.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. It may be a little better than that but I do not want to discount the fact it needs the TLC.It hasn't been driven in a while but with a little fine tuning you'll have one helluve solid head turner!
