Here's a great car to have some with! A story first... A young man purchased this car just over two years ago with the aspiration of building it into a show car while in the military after boot camp. We met him in his search for needed parts. He was well on his way before boot camp. He came home for his R&R. Then went to his new base. A couple of weeks in, on a weekend, he had stomach pains. The base doctors examined and tested him, then operated to remove the ruptured organ. He was released for duty. Had more serve pains. Then went to the local general hospital. They determined that the base doctors removered the wrong organ! The general hospital removed the correct organ and released him for duty. Now he can't eat RME's. So the military released him! Can you believe it? So now he's a broke college student. Tried to sell his car that was hours away with little luck. He called me and we worked out a price to bail him out of his predicament. I wish him all of the best that he can have for the rest of his life! I'm going to take a risk here and offer the car with no reserve and a cheap starting price. Good luck bidding and thank you! Our young soldier started with a low milage, 80,000 +/-, GTS and was prepared to spend over $5,600.00 on it to make it what he wanted. He installed a good used rear differential carrier, had the fuel tank boiled out and serviced, had the engine tuned up, a stereo/CD player installed and ordered a Kaminari ground effects for it. The car was even at the body shop(good news that the body shop didn't start on it yet). The car starts quickly, seams to run fine, brakes feel ok, steering feels good and only seaps alittle oil from the timing cover. The power windows and power sunroof work fine. The power docks work intermittently. The rear hatch needs two people to open it. One pulling the lever, one pushing down on the hatch. The glass is clear only showing age and wear. The original Supra style wheels slowly leak air like they did from new. The exhaust seems fine. Don't know if the fuel guage works accurately.
