Here is my personnal F550 truck that we use for towing car trailers to races and shows. I love driving dualies. They always look sharp and are well equipped. We've grown to love the F550's because they have a tighter turning radius, larger axles and brakes than the F350's and F450's. You can have an unbalanced load can the truck doesn't care. Plus, you can pull down a house with this truck! You can expect around 10 mpg pulling a trailer on average, 14 mpg on a regular basis running around town. Don't be spooked by the 6.0 Litre stories. That's all we use. Use synthetic oil. Change the oil every 7,000 miles. Use the truck as it was designed. The October 2011 issue of "Diesel Power Magazine" has a great artical on the subject. This truck was the "Hot Rod Power Tour" rescue vehicle. Bullet Proof Deisel provided the EGR buy pass and semi style remote oil filter with over sized oil cooler. Plus the K & N cold air intake. The previous owner kept the custom rescue bed. We had the new Ford dually bed, hide a way gooseneck hitch, class five receiver hitch, tonneau cover, head ache rack, bed mat, rear step bumper, molded rear flaps, front flaps, full length chrome tube nerf bars, smoked Reacon cab, mirror, marker, tail and 3rd brake lights installed. We also had a D.O.T. inspection was performed along with complete fluid change, brake service and detail completed. The reason for selling this dually is that we found one with a hauler bed on it.
