This was my wifes personal car until she go into an accident recently. It would be a fairly straight forward repair as you can see and the nice thing is you can find some good deals on the parts here on ebay (many of the damaged parts are not "R" specific so you can use standard S60 parts) . I was going to fix it myself ( I still may ) but its just been sitting around and I dont really have the time as I already have 3 projects in front of it! It only has 74k miles on it so I know its got a lot of life left, plus I love that the Volvos are so safe (built like a tank) not to mention very dependable. In all the time weve driven it the only thing I ever had to do was replace the power steering pump last year. This is our 4th Volvo for a family car so that shows you we have had really good luck with them. The car runs and drives but I think the e brake is stuck on by the sound and feel of it. The e brake cable may just need lubed - we never use the ebrake but I know the tow truck driver used it when he brought it here. As you can see it has damage to the front right and rear right. For the front I would recommend replacing the front bumper cover , yes its probably repairable but you can buy one on ebay for under $400 so its your choice. I did buy the used right oem fender already but its just hanging on there and not fully bolted down yet. The hood is aluminum and for sure repairable ( lite corner damage). The right headlight needs replaced (one sold on ebay yesterday for $210.- or you can use a stock s60 lite if you want to really save $). BTW the xenon bulb and ballast are fine. I would recomend just replacing the right door with a used one ($275) or you could replace the skin if you wanted too. On the rear I would buy a used 1/4 ( $200 on ebay right now) , a used taillight ($50 on ebay right now) , I personally would repair the rear bumper. The "SRS" light is on on the dash now but just so you know the airbags didnt deploy. I also noticed that the custom 3" exhaust is tweaked on the right tailpipe so I would estimate an exhaust shop would charge you $150ish to replace the bend and tips. The title is "rebuilt" and not "salvage" so that way you can just go title and plate it without having to jump through hoops or deal with a bunch of paperwork. This car was babied and pampered by my wife, always kept clean and garage stored. She won several euro class awards in some local shows too. The s60r's really look elegant yet very sleek and sporty - people cant believe that its an 04 when they ask, you honestly wont believe the attention this car gets. She usually gets bored with cars pretty quick but we have had this one for several years because its just hard to replace it. I dont know of another sedan that looks this classy and european/exotic for anywhere near the price. It has not been raced or tracked - she has a different car for that. Some of the modifications include: Evolve (now called Elevatecars dot com ) lowering springs (stock springs also included) , Evolve hood grill, Evolve blue full silicone hose kit, Evolve blue upper motor mount, custom cold air intake kit with dual r kelly intakes, oversized intercooler with custom full hardpipes and blue silicone couplers, full 3" turbo back exhaust into dual outlets with 2 tips per outlet. electronic exhaust cutout switch, Greddy blow off valve. As you see it has the optional Volvo oem bodykit and paint matched body molding as well. Other factory options include power sunroof, heated seats, 18" aluminum wheels, huge Brembo brakes, rear wing/spoiler etc. We did not mess with any engine internals or the turbo so dont be scared that this is some undependable project - it just has some upgraded parts bolted onto it! We did give it the IPD engine management system for optimal performance but you can easily change it back but I dont know why on earth you would want to. This is a $1000 option from ipdusa dot com - check out their site for all the details , I felt they offered the safest and most reliable choice when I researched it on my favorite Volvo forum ( swedespeed dot com). Lotsa good info and knowledgeable people! It also has a stereo mod from USAspec dot com. This gives it the ipod/ mp3 cord and controls as well as satellite radio hookups if you need it. the only other interior mods are the tinted windows and it has a Momo shift knob that really add a nice touch as it matches the interior. The interior on the "R" cars is a phenomenally classy with a very cool blue tinted leather , it is nearly black and actaully hard to see the blue at all unless the light hits it. Very cool blue dash/ gauges in these as well with a cool "R" model airbag stiched in blue. This car has all options except for navigation. I didnt want the navigation as then you dont get the subwoofer and let me tell you the factory sound system is superb ! As you see it has the 6 speed manual transmission , yep its a STICK ! How cool is that. I am beyond the age of enjoying driving stick shift anymore but I will gaurantee you that you would be hard pressed to find a manual transmission and clutch pedal that are as effortless and smooth as this car. Also includes the books/manuals in there factory leather "R" glovebox binder. Trust me these are really really nice cars and at their price its impossible to beat . So even if you dont buy this "R" you should check into getting one for yourself - they are pretty rare but can be found occasionally. Let me know if you have any questions or need any other pictures.
