Vehicle Detail
1971 Ford Bronco NO RESERVE AUCTION The truck is an attention getter to the point where you would actually be surprised by the response. You will be stopped at every red light, gas station, and fast food joint for conversations and people asking if you would sell the truck (until the day you decide to sell it, then you will only get thumbs ups and "sweet car, man!"). The paint is very catching in person and really looks great on this body. Really looks much better in person than I have the skill to photograph. The color is chrome yellow and shows much more vibrant in person. The Good- The truck is 40+ years old and very simple. It is perfectly suited as a "no creature comfort" toy or tool and would make an amazing beach cruiser. Brand new paint job and body work, Just replaced carb, alternator, and starter (1/17), at $12,000 it would be the same price as a new side by side ATV but is much more versatile and can be driven on the street. It runs great and tracks straight. Warn Hubs. Tires are newer 32x11.5x15 on nice aluminum wheels. Included in the sale is a decent hardtop that will keep you covered the sunny months, and a winch mount plate that bolts to the the front bumper. Let me know if you want pictures of that. Mileage on odometer is 649. I assume that this is mileage on the last rebuild, owner said he rebuilt engine 1.5-2 years ago and clutch less than 50 miles ago, and this appears accurate with the new chrome engine pieces installed. The Bad- The truck is 40+ years old and very simple. The ride will knock your fillings out, coil springs and leaf springs on a straight axle. The fuel economy is probably in the negative numbers. And lastly, it takes some praying to get the truck to stop before plowing through the hybrid in front of you at a red light. Indicative of the age, there are a few poorly executed rust repairs under the body pan and there are rust spots that were just POR treated. All in all, I think it's a great start to a build with a most of the cosmetic work already complete. It really looks like a movie star especially for being so old and classic. I bought this Bronco to be a substitute sunny day alternative driver. I wasn't shopping for a truck but it was such a striking color combination with the yellow and black accents, I had to have it. My commute is 30 miles each way and it's just not going to work for my daily type use. I put a good bit of money into it making it nicer and installing some of the missing amenities to make it more useable. However, getting it to be a restored daily commuter street truck is proving to be more than I'm willing to deal with, so I'm selling it. I am actively interested in an uncut, unlifted Bronco if someone is interested in building a trail truck. This would save both of us some headaches! I put a ton of pictures up to accompany this, but let me know if you have any requests at all and I will surely accommodate. I welcome and encourage you to come see it anytime and will make myself or someone else available to show it. I will bring it out to the HWY 190 on ramp shopping mall Saturday to show it in person where everyone puts their cars for sale too if there are available spots. Bidding is totally no reserve, so bid it to win it. I will spare everyone my ebay auction history unless you want to hear it, message me. But I do not have a price in mind and I will not cancel the auction for any reason other than a local sale. I could have bought a brand new Toyota for what I put into this truck, but I will let the auction determine the sale price. Period. No reserve.
