1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Edition, last of the big body Eldorados. 425 V8, all options including passenger mirror, thermometer on driver's mirror which works, 60/40 split bench power seat, trunk release in glove box, working power trunk pulldown. Rare Biarritz Edition has extra chrome strip extending from the hood ornament all the way to the landau top and a strip that goes across the roof, looks extra fancy. Biarritz also has rear courtesy lights on the outside of the vinyl top on each side, looks really cool at night and "pillow top" seats, super luxurious. Over the last two years the following mechanical work was done on the Eldo: new exhaust from the engine back, done right with Walker muffler and resonator, Caddy runs nice and quiet. The front end had work done, including inner and outer tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, shock absorbers, all bushings and new front axles. Rear air shocks and sway bar bushings were installed and a four wheel alignment was done after the suspension work was completed. New front brake calipers, brake hoses, rotors and pads, new radiator and hoses, new belts as well as almost new whitewall all season radial tires, still have the little rubber tire hairs on them. Power windows work well, driver's seat motor either needs a switch or a motor, passenger seat motor works in all directions. Dash has a sun crack in the center and the door panels have a few small cracks on the armrests. Horn does not work, will need a new horn pad, tilt and telescoping steering wheel work well. AM/FM 8-track radio works well, front speakers are a little crackly. Heat works through all vents and the A/C still works well with the old style freon. Included is a replacement rubber bumper protector for the passenger front corner. New factory color matched paint in 2007, nice glittery finish, all fender and bumper fillers replaced when painted. New padded vinyl top done when Caddy was painted as well. Cruises nicely on the highway, holds the road perfectly. Nice smooth power for such a big car, tracks straight as an arrow and brakes evenly, no pulling or fading. She idles perfectly, shifts smoothly, stops easily and the suspension is luxurious. Drives overall like a Caddy should, just a pleasure to cruise around in. Always garaged, Eldo is almost spotless undearneath; floors and trunk completely solid. VIN is 6L47S8Q173273.
