A mostly original and rust free 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D with 180,980 original miles on it. This 300D runs and drives very nicely. The 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine runs very smooth and powerful and the transmission shifts perfectly. It was just serviced which included new front and rear brake pads and rotors and four brand new tires were just installed. The paint is mostly original and still retains its factory painted on pinstripe. the body is straight and the doors shut solid and air tight. It is 95% rust free as well. There is one very small spot of surface rust starting on the drivers side windshield post and also on the lower valence right corner under the front bumper. All of the power windows and sunroof work (fast even) but the A/C does not blow cold. The speedometer/odometer work properly but the tachometer does not. The oil and temp gauges both read accurately. The fuel gauge works but jumps around a bit. The interior is very nice except for the cracks in the drivers seat bottom and arm rest.The other seats, carpets, door panels, headliner, Zebrano wood console/trim and dash are in excellent original condition. All of the speakers are present but the stereo has been removed. This vehicle was converted to bio diesel in the past and still has the tank in the spare wheel part of the trunk but since then was converted back to diesel. Some of the lines are still present in the engine compartment but are not connected. Please call me with any questions you may have on this very nice, solid and most reliable 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D.
