Vehicle Detail
***Note: I have lots more pictures. Ask for them in email if you'd like*** **** OR BEST OFFER**** I am selling a black 1986 Subaru BRAT GL. 4 cylinder, manual four speed transmission. 305,732 miles! And it will probably go another 300,000 if treated properly! It IS a Subaru! The truck does need a little work, but has been my primary mode of transportation for a few years. It was kind of a father/son project minus the "do it yourself" aspect. We had all work professionally done, and records of most mechanical work shouldn't be too difficult for me to collect for you. The vehicle has had a diagnostic check done, and I have an invoice of what mechanical work it needs done. The work isn't very expensive, just more than I'm willing to put into it now. Any Subaru collectors out there know that the 1986 model didn't come with the rear-facing seats installed. I had them removed from another BRAT and installed in mine. They are legal and do have independent seat belts+seat belt covers. The interior was redone a few years back, but has some wear and tear from frequent use. The truck has a sound system installed, and the original radio is disconnected but operational. The CD player/radio was installed below the glove box as you can see in the pictures, and therefore; the glove box cannot be opened. The truck has an undercoating that makes it safe for beach driving (Had this done because I live in Florida... But never took it on the beach!), as well as a tough truck bed lining. The T-tops are fully operational and removable, and can be strapped behind the driver and passenger seats when not in use. Cosmetically, the truck is not in perfect condition, but repairs will be minor. There are some scratches in the paint here and there, but the worst of it is on the driver's side door, which I tried to capture in a close up picture. It's not too bad, but if you're looking to restore this, I would just repaint it altogether. The four wheel drive works excellently. Shifting between two wheel and four wheel is smooth. This BRAT is in great condition, and you'll have lots of people asking if they can buy it off of you, saying "Wow, you don't see THOSE often anymore!". On top of all of this, I have LOTS of spare parts! Any collector knows that cosmetic parts for these things are hard to come by. My dad and I collected quite a few during our project. We had four BRATS altogether, and the ones we didn't keep, we kept the important parts from! Contact me if you're interested. Any questions are welcome. -Josh
