I am selling a 1998 Chevrolet 2500 4X4 Silverado extra cab long bed. This truck is loaded with all the power options and is a southern rust free specimen. It appears to have original paint all the way around. I am in the motorcycle business and was in between trucks and bought this at an auction thinking I would just use it for a few weeks until I found a newer truck. It ended up being a real nice truck so I have been driving it. I am listing it to see what kind of response I get and if I need to continue driving it, it won't hurt my feelings. According to the previous owner the truck recieved a new motor at 220,000 miles and it feels like it. You can tell the motor is fairly new by how clean the block is, but especially by the way it drives. It runs and shifts absolutley perfect and holds good oil pressure even at idle. It could easily be confused for a truck with under 100K so don't let the miles scare you. The 4WD works great although I have never used it off road. I have engaged it a few times just to make sure it does so smoothly and it does. The tires are about 60% and ride really smooth and quietly. I did put new rotors and Wagner pads on it last month b/c it had a slight pulse. That is resolved and it brakes nice and strong now with no pulsation. This would make a great plow truck or just a good one for anyone needing a heavy duty truck that doesn't get bad mileage and is clean enough to be a weekend truck as well. The 5.7 with the 4L80E transmission is a great package for power and economy. I am able to drive to Atlanta and back and still have gas left - That is a 6 hour round trip. The only thing I have pulled with it is a 16' flatbed trailer with a few motorcycles and it did great. It has never had a gooseneck or 5th wheel installed so I don't think it was ever used for a heavy hauler. The cloth interior is in great shape and I will add more pictures tomorrow. I was offered a newer truck today by a friend so this is a last minute listing, but I wanted to go ahead and get it on here and I had taken a couple pics when I first bought it (it still looks exactly the same). Like already mentioned if it doesn't sell it won't hurt my feelings. Please no lowballers - this is a good solid truck not the typical plain jane junk that is out there. Call Allen @ (864) 631-3062.
