1971 Austin Mini Cooper JCWBEAUTIFULCOOLFUN!Up for bid is a beautiful 1971 Austin Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Recreation. Had a full restoration about 6 years ago. Paint is beautiful red with white top accented with JCW white bonnet stripes. Lots of chromes and lots of tasteful upgrades. Chrome mini sill plates, chrome trims, white matched sport side mirrors, nice chrome bumpers, chrome rallye lights, and the glass is all good with no cracks or chips. Brand new Sumitomo Sport tires all around with 13" Performance Wheels, nice grille and trims all around. Door panels are in great shape, dash is great no cracks, carpet is good and the headliner is perfect. Interior is overall in great shape and the only noticeable wear is the leather seats that has a typical cracking in its skin but no splitting in seams. Seats foams are in great shape. Steering wheels looks great, horn works, wipers works, guages works except the odometer. This Mini sports the wide fender flares, wheels and front disc brakes for really nice rallye stance. Engine runs great and starts right up. Transmission shifts good. This Mini is a blast to drive and a pleasure to own. Left hand drive so no worries about transition that comes with right-hand drive car. Engine and tranny was rebuilt during the restoration. Underchassis was undercoated and painted. Had over $14,000 restoration done. Paint and body alone was worth $4,000 and the wheels and tires where worth $1,495. It has a nice aluminized exhaust with polished stainless steel muffler with center exit that sound great. This Mini is absolutely an eye catcher and always gets the turning heads. Miles of smiles! A lot of love and $$$ has been invested and it is yours to reap.Underchassis is very solid and clean and has no rust issues. The only boo-boo in this Mini is the rear driver side fender has some paint chips and crack in the paint. Nothing that can take away the overall beauty of this Cooper. It's a small area on the removeable fender and can easily be repaired if desired. This was a California car and previously owned by a true sportscar enthusiast.
