Matching VIN Transmission: Automatic Condition: Excellent MANY photos below (additional photos available upon request) History: This fine example was originally purchased in 1961 by Dr. Ivor David Harris, Dr. Harris passed away in 1978, an excerpt from his obituary reads: "Automobiles were his favorite hobby. The owner of many prize-winning cars, he was a head judge for both the Classic Car Club of America and the International Rolls Royce Owners Club. A founding member of the Sports Car Club of America and a member of the Bentley Drivers Club, Limited, he was a former member of the Mayor's Special Ad Hoc Committee for the Establishment of an Historical American Automobile Museum in Detroit." Dr. Harris clearly loved fine automobiles and he was the head judge for both the Classic Car Club of America and the International Rolls Royce Owners Club so you can be assured this Rolls is luxurious, fully equipped and rare. We purchased this vehicle in 1986 and preformed a complete frame off restoration – down to bare metal – using all original parts. The restoration was completed in the late 80's by Automotive Restorations Inc. in Stratford Conn., still considered one of the top restoration shops in the business today. The complete records from the restoration are available to the winning bidder. Since the restoration the car has been garage kept under cover in a climate controlled environment. Both the exterior and interior are flawless. This is the finest example of this model anywhere in the world we know of. The original professionally rebuilt motor runs like new.
