This is a running, driving, unrestored 1953 Packard Clipper Deluxe two door club sedan model 2665 with a 3 speed manual shift transmission and a 327 C.I. 8 cylinder engine. 4,678 of the 2665 model were produced in 1953. Engine runs well Transmission shifts smoothly Clutch operates as designed and does not slip Brakes will need repairs (pulls right when braking) No abnormal drivetrain noises Charging system works (6 volt positive ground) Tail lights work Headlights work Lower interior lights work Brake lights do not work Turn signals do not work Wipers do not work Horn works Glove box light works Trunk lock, glove box lock and door locks all work Temp. Gauge works Speedometer works Warning light for charging system works Fuel gauge does not work (wires disconnected at fuel tank) Blower motor works Heater core is still connected Doors open and close properly All windows roll up and down Fuel tank needs to be reconditioned (runs from fuel cell in trunk) I have not attempted to use parking brake or overdrive Temperature gauge stays in middle after warmed up and engine does not overheat Clock does not work Radio does not work Would not recommend driving on street until brakes and exterior lighting are repaired I have driven it on the street several times and it drives nice for an unrestored 59 year old car Car will start, run and drive on trailer Regular Iowa title and current registration Starts by turning key to on position, running electric fuel pump for 10 seconds and then pressing accelerator pedal until engine starts i have almost 50 pictures of the car but was only allowed to upload 24 on ebay. e-mail me if you'd like additional pictures.
