Vehicle Detail

This car had one previous owner. Both he and I performed regular maintenance on it: changed the oil every ~3000 miles, changed fluids, regular tuning, ect. As a result, the engine runs well. In addition, the clutch seems in good shape, and the transmission was recently rebuilt. Belts and hoses are in good repair, and I dropped in a new radiator ~3 years ago. It has an after-market air filter installed. Unfortunately, the body has aged. In addition, it recently was in a fender-bender. As a result, the body is pretty beat up. Here's a list of problems: * Front right quarter panel is severely dented. It is also pushing against the passenger side door, preventing it from fully opening. * The front right wheel well shroud is being pushed in by the panel, and rubs against the tire. * The right rear view mirror is gone. The mount is still in place. * Rust is forming at the bottom of the wheel wells and door jams. I have repeatedly sanded and filled in the spots, but the rust continues to spread. * The exhaust pipe is rusted through in two places between the catalytic converter and muffler. I have a jury-rigged solution in place now, but it is temporary and loud. * The rear left corner panel was dented by a falling tree. I filled it in as best I could, but the job was imperfect. * The extendable antenna is missing, thanks to a low-flying pheasant. (I'm not kidding.) * The trunk can only be opened by key. The lever does not work. * The tires are bald. (I couldn't spend the money when I knew I was going to buy a new car soon.) As you can see, the car has been through a lot. Nevertheless, it refuses to die. (I named it Rasputin.) I'm selling it because I can't justify the expense of repairing the body, especially when I just bought a replacement vehicle. But it seems a waste to junk it when all the mechanics are in good shape. If you have the technical know-how, access to cheap parts, and the time to dedicate to repairs, this car is for you.
