Vehicle Detail
For sale is an adult-owned, low-mileage, always garaged, completely stock Integra Type R. Car has a clean title, clear CarFax, and no signs of accident damage. You'd have a really hard time finding one in nicer condition. The car has about 75k miles on it. The mileage changes as I'm still driving it around every few days to enjoy it before it goes on to its next home. I am the second owner of this car. I purchased it about six months ago because I'd always wanted one and came across an example too clean to pass up. The original owner used only as a weekend car and was an SCCA D-stock autocrosser, so the car was completely unmolested. I've gotten to play with it for a few months, and while it's been a blast, it's not one of my all time favorites. Thus, it has to move on to make room in the garage. Although the car had just over 73,000 miles when I purchased it, I opted to do the 90k service primarily because of the age of the timing belt. The 90k service included timing belt, engine seals, all fluids, hoses, etc. Everything was done with factory Honda/Acura parts. Car runs absolutely great. No smoke or oil consumption. Shifter is smooth, and there are no transmission issues (grinding, popping out of gear, etc.). Clutch will need to be replaced in the next year or two depending on how you drive the car. It isn't slipping, but the pedal engagement is a little high. I also put new Dunlop Z1 Star Spec tires all around. These now have a couple of thousand miles on them. Brake pads are Hawk HP+, with plenty of life left. The car is running on its original shock absorbers. However, for most of its life the previous owner had a fancy set of adjustable shocks, so the mileage on the shocks is lower than the mileage on the chassis. The previous owner changed out the stereo head unit with an aftermarket Pioneer unit, but I have the original and will provide with sale. There's also an older Alpine alarm and a hard wired Escort radar detector. Both of these can easily be removed without a trace. No other modifications have been done. Wear is generally consistent with the age of the car. There is some wear on the armrest and side bolsters of the driver's seat. There is also some scuffing on the underside of the front facia. Additionally, there are two dings: one on the right front fender and one on the trailing edge of the driver's door. I've attempted to show these in the pictures. The car lived in Colorado and Wisconsin prior to my purchase. However, there are no signs of rust on the car. The previous owner tells me he never drove it in the winter, and I have no reason to disbelieve that based on the condition of the car. Successful bidder will PayPal non-refundable deposit of $500 within 24 hours of option close. Balance due within 7 days. Final payment can be either through escrow.com or, if your bank has a branch that is local to me (Houston, TX), I will meet you there to watch them cut me a cashier's check. I'm happy to drop the car off at a shipper, but you'll have to make the arrangements. The car goes nowhere until either I or the escrow agent have the money. Please don't ask the reserve price. I won't share, but I will let you know that it's less than the Buy-It-Now. If you have any other questions, please e-mail.
