Vehicle Detail

1952 Triumph Thunderbird 6T Frame, Engine, Transmission and more. NO RESERVE This bike almost sold during the previous auction. Thank you for your interest. This will make a great beginning for a bobber project, or for a ground up restoration using a matching numbers frame and engine. 6T 16957 NA In the 1953 movie, The Wild One, Marlon Brando road a 1950 6T. Maybe you can't be as cool as Marlon, but you can build a bike that will be just as cool. So, a short 3 day auction with no reserve. I hope this will be a great project for someone. (My winter project will be here in two weeks, so I would rather sell this than put it back in storage). The engine has compression and the transmission shifts somewhat, although I am not sure I was able to move it through all four gears. Please bid only if you understand that the engine and transmission will most likely need a rebuild. The transmission does not have a serial number, so I assume it is a replacement and was not shipped with the bike at time of manufacture. Received a question about whether the engine will run. We did start it about six months ago. It seemed to run OK, but the carburetor leaked liked crazy (wrong model carb and in bad shape). We took the bike apart because most of the tin, the front end, and so forth were off later year bikes. I think the only correct parts beside frame, engine and transmission were the rear fender and wheel. Originally I was only going to sell the only frame and engine. However, when I went out to the garage this morning, it was cold. Very cold. And maybe I started drinking the egg nog too early. At any rate, for a limited time you can get everything together. The good news is that this purchase will also include everything you see in the pictures such as: Magneto Carburetor Manifold Oil Lines Primary Covers Bill of sale only. To induce you to look at this ad, I have also included an attractive German female in one of the photos. Small Print Notice: OK, on to the disclosures. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions before bidding. What you see in pictures is what you are buying. If the buyer wants to pay the additional cost, I can secure a clean Utah title that will be transferrable (check with your State DMV). Otherwise, bill of sale. This is really old used stuff. If you don't know how to work on old British motorcycles and don't want to learn, probably best not to bid. I will ship anywhere, including Uranus, as long as their are no prohibitions and YOU have to pay for the crating and shipping. It is heavy. I will get a total weight posted as soon as possible. My guess is with crating and shipping the cost will be in the $300 to $400 range for U.S. domestic lower 48. If you are outside the U.S. it is expensive. Yes, I am willing to ship to Australia as long as you can pay the freight. Thank you for your previous purchases. There is no return on this item. A deposit is due through Paypal within 48 hours. The balance is due in 7 days. If you are going to use a shipper and arrange for pick up, I am willing to hold the item for a couple of weeks until shipper arrives. Thank you for looking at this ad.
