2009 Nissan GT-R Premium The 2009 Nissan GT-R is a unique car, employing state of the art racing technology in its engine, suspension, and drive system. Its interior cabin electronics are top notch, with an advanced navigation system, digital music system, and hands free blue tooth cell phone integration. It also employs an in-dash performance computer. The navigation system is hard drive based and also providing real time traffic reporting with a high resolution LCD screen which can also display a split screen map with 3-D view and plain views simultaneously. There is an auxiliary input, suitable for an MP3 player. The single CD slot plays MP3 CDs, and also there is satellite radio. Sound quality is very good from the 11 Bose speakers around the cabin. The system has a centerfill in the dashboard, two subwoofers, tweeters in the A-pillars, mids in the doors, and most obviously, two woofers between the back seats. This system pumps heavy bass and reproduces highs nicely. A feature unique to the GT-R is the fascinating customizable performance computer. You can access the performance computer by pushing the function button to the left of the LCD screen. A knob lets you scroll through the four customizable screens, marked 1 through 4, or the set screens, marked A through G. These screens use a variety of graphs and virtual gauges for wheel turn, torque split, gas and brake pedal percentage, turbo boost, and many other performance parameters. There is also a stopwatch for timed runs. The GT-R incorporates the world's first independent rear transaxle all-wheel-drive system (which means the engine and transmission are at opposite ends to balance the car out) for optimum weight distribution and handling. This GT-R is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6 engine handcrafted by its own master technician. Propelled with 480 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, this GT-R is equipped with an advanced six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that routes power to the revolutionary all-wheel-drive system.
