1976 Jaguar XJ12C. Sold as is. Two door Silver Blue Coupe. This is one of 1,269 12 cylinder two door coupes ever built. There are all kinds of estimates of how many still exist - but who can really say. Many consider this one of the most beautiful and rare Jaguars there is. We are a Jaguar Service Center for 35 years and I've only had this one in the shop. This car was serviced by us approximately 35 years ago and then the car dropped out of sight. The car emerged from a 20 year hibernation (storage) in 2008. This is an original owner car. After examination it was decided to rebuild the V-12 engine, the transmission, the refurbishment of the differential assembly, complete braking system, front suspension, and cooling system. Upon starting the engine it was discovered that the twin fuel tanks had not faired well during the storage years. They've been removed and need cleaning before reinstalling. Unfortunately the owner passed away after investing approx. $35,000.00 in restoring this car. This car does need finishing. All original parts are included, such as original chrome plated steel wheels and fuel tank panels. No rust. Nice blue leather interior. A great winter project for those of you in the northern states.
