Vehicle Detail
I am offering this first year classic as you see it, with a Bill Of Sale Only. I do not posses a title. 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback with a 289 - 2v carb and Automatic Transmission. Engine code ends in 015E which dates it correctly(That's all I can see without removing the starter and that probably isn't going to happen). I do not know the history on this car. I purchased it at auction (Indiana) recently. This Mustang will be an easy fixer-upper, someone has already done most of the work. It appears to me the rear quarters, door skins, floors have been replaced. I am not an expert at this so please go with the pictures. The rear window is laying in the channel but not installed. It is in Good Condition. There is no more glass included with the car. The odometer shows 53452 for what it is worth. The brake pedal goes to the floor. Front seats are in good condition, some of the rear seat is included(see pic). The battery is dead. I jumped the car with my truck and starting fluid. It starts right up. It did not stay running after burning the starter fluid as there is no gas. The engine sounds strong. The front has a small hit and it put a hole in the radiator. There are several trim pices included and a bumper I assume goes with it. Again, offered As-Pictured in As Described, As-Is Condition. On Dec-18-11 at 17:35:02 PST, seller added the following information: Vehicle Transportation Tools powered by Shipping Price Estimator Delivery Zipcode: uShip is the first and largest auction- style marketplace for shipping and transportation services. IT IS HIS BELIEF THIS IS A CONVERSION CAR OR A COUPE THAT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A FASTBACK. I DO NOT KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE OR NOT BUT I DO NOT WANT QUESTIONS LATER. WHAT I DO KNOW IS THE VIN NUMBER DESCRIBES IT AS A 1965 2+2 MUSTANG 289, 2BBL. I AM NOT KNOWLEDGABLE ENOUGH TO ARGUE SO IT IS UP TO YOU, MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT. I AM OFFERING THE CAR IN THE PICTURES WITH THE MOTOR IN THE PICTURES AND THE SPARE PARTS IN THE PICTURES WITH THE VIN NUMBERS IN THE PICTURES FOR WHATEVER IT IS. I WILL DROP THE BUY-IT-NOW, LOWER THE RESERVE TO $4600.00 AND OFFER AS-PICTURED IN AS-iS CONDITION. On Dec-22-11 at 11:06:19 PST, seller added the following information: I'VE HAD AN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE TO THIS E-MAILER SINCE I POSTED HIS REMARKS. HERE'S THE LATEST. "Hi I'm K.... . I own an unrestored 66 fastback. I just went out to the garage to check the back seat area. There is nothing "coupe" about the rear of your car.It looks exactly as it should. Some people will tell you anything to get you to lower your asking price. Im 50yr & have owned several early mustangs including 7 1969 models. Your car looks to be great for restoring,Ive seen MUCH worse. I wish the one Im about to start on was as complete as yours is.Good luck with your auction."
